Heather Jones Studio - Anni

Large Version: finished size 68" x 68"

Small Version: finished size 34" x 34"

Anni is a quilt design that was inspired by modern art, particularly the work of Josef Albers and his "Homage to the Square" series of color explorations. The large scale blocks in the pattern are made using a modernized log cabin construction and provide a great opportunity to play with color combinations. Use solid colored cottons, as I did, or incorporate some prints into your own version. Anni creates a strong graphic design that is at once both modern and timeless and is suitable for both beginner and advanced quilters alike. The pattern of Anni contains full-color diagrams and step-by-step instructions for both the Large Version, which finishes at 68" x 68," and the Small Version, finishing at 34" x 34."
