Felting Needles - Assorted Sizes

Felting needles are the hand tools necessary for needle felting. Each needle has a long shank with a narrow shaft that has a very sharp tip. The needles have notched barbs on the sides toward the bottom of the shaft. Needle felting is a process which uses barbed needles to interlock wool fibers to form a more condensed material. Wool fibers have scales which when rubbed against each other catch and lock into place to create the denser material called felt! These are sharp! We recommend a felting thimble to protect your precious fingers!

Some needles, like our 36-triangle, are best for quick course felting for when you're starting to make a shape. Others, like our 40-triangle, are more ideal for fine, detailed work.

Package includes a set of four assorted needles, one each of our 36-triangle, 38-triangle, 40-triangle, and 38-star:

• 36 Triangle: Coarse. Ideal for felting large areas.
• 38 Triangle: Medium. Great for attaching pieces together.
• 40 Triangle: Fine. Perfect for detail felting, sculpting, and smoothing.
• 38 Star: Medium. Excellent all around needle for fast coarse and fine felting.
