Hello and welcome to the Alison Glass Sew "Skill Builder Series"! This series is designed to build your skills as quilters. Each pattern in the series teaches important quilting skills allowing you to learn, practice, and master the basics through the creation of a beautiful, handmade quilt. The idea of improvisational quilting can be a little daunting, especially for those of us who like to follow a plan. The freedom can make it hard to know where to start or what to do.

This pattern is set up as a controlled improv situation. Improv with boundaries, if you will. To give practice with freedom but still provide some guidance. The hope is that you will practice improv through this small taste and then be able to apply what you've learned and felt here to your own improv projects.

Finished size: 58" x 68" as shown, however, your finished quilt may be larger or smaller depending on the decisions you make.
