Ezy Hem Gauge

Make a handy addition to your stitching kit with the Ezy-Hem Gauge. Featuring a perfect combination of curves and right angles, this gauge for hems is ideal for pressing turned edges and straight or curved hems. It also comes in handy for shaping waistbands, belts, pockets, and more.

Use the handy Ezy-Hem gauge to easily turn and press both straight and curved hems. Includes measurements from 1/4" to 4" on the straight edge and from 1/4" to 2 1/2" on the curved edge. Note that the gauge may get hot while pressing - use caution!

Press all hems from the fold up. This eliminates ridge marks on the right side of the fabric.

STRAIGHT HEMS:

1. Turn up fabric along hem line, insert Ezy-Hem Gauge and press.
2. Move gauge along hem line and continue pressing.

CURVED HEMS:

1. To ease hems, stitch 1/4 inch from raw edge, using a basting stitch.
2. Turn up fabric along hem line, insert Ezy-Hem Gauge. Using a pin, pull up stitches every few inches until hem lies flat; press.
