Beginner friendly sashiko kits include everything you need to get started with the time honored tradition of sashiko stitching. Hitomezashi (or one stitch) is a style of sashiko originally practiced in Yamagata prefecture that is recognized by dense stitching based on a tightly-spaced grid. The stitching is typically sized to the grid, with one stitch per grid line, which is how it became known as Hitome (one stitch) sashiko.
Patterns are printed with wash-out ink. Do not pre-wash or wet the fabric prior to stitching.
Kit includes: 100% cotton fabric with 5 different, pre-printed designs, needle, sashiko thread, and full-color instructions.
