I am so pleased to announce the re-release of Far Far Away 3. This collection, originally designed for Kokka, was really a combination of two very small collections: Snow White and Playing Horses.
Snow White was more of an ode to my childhood obsession with gnomes than the fairy tale itself, and the long hours I spent making gnome clothing, sewing and knitting tiny garments that disappeared overnight when I left them under our woodstove for contact free pick-up. I always wondered how my house-gnomes did their laundry.
The second part of FFA3 was meant to be an illustrated memory of me and my sister and our cousin playing with toy horses when we were about 7. It was one of those images that sticks, mysteriously, in my mind, even as things like my own phone number are forgotten.
I've wanted to re-work these prints for a while, to give them an update, and to tell their story a bit differently, and am grateful to Windham for giving me that opportunity.
