Following up on the influential first volume of Story Quilt, this second book picks up with inspiration to continue the elaborately detailed scenes created with fabric applique and embroidery. Detail photos illustrate the thoughtful use of textiles, embellishments, and dimensional effects to create a true masterpiece. Note that the book is written in Japanese, but patterns and schematics are included. Crafters who cannot read Japanese but who have some sewing experience are usually able to interpret the instructions without any trouble, and others can use the projects as inspiration for their own creations.
