Knitting Patterns 300
This amazing Japanese stitch dictionary charts 300 knit and crochet patterns. Fans of Japanese knitting know that the patterns are often unique and innovative when compared with Western styles. This book includes a photo (most in color; some in b&w) with an adjacent chart for that pattern. A reference section in the front of the book illustrates the stitches and the corresponding symbol used in the charts for each pattern. Once you've mastered reading the charts, you'll be all set to knit or crochet from Japanese pattern books! Note that the book is written in Japanese, but patterns and schematics are included. Crafters who cannot read Japanese but who have some knitting and/or crocheting experience are usually able to interpret the instructions without any trouble, and others can use the projects as inspiration for their own creations.
