Mollie Makes - Issue 110

It’s officially September, which means summer’s nearly over and it’s time to start on all those transitional projects that welcome in Autumn. Issue 110 is here to help ease that transition and even start getting you ready for Christmas! There’s all the wintery projects you could ever want so this month’s Mollie motto is ‘prep, make and do’!

Aside from being full of its usual inspired projects, issue 110 also comes with a jam-packed Sustainable Christmas makes mag and a very cute Christmassy gift. That means there’s 18 projects included in issue 110, and if that wasn’t enough there’s also eight beautiful, autumnal prints. That’s enough to keep you occupied all month long.

Projects in the mag

Plus there’s 6 more projects in our Sustainable Christmas mag! Keep reading to find them.

Your festive gift
September = Christmas in the designer-maker world, so while issue 110 has some transitional summer-to-autumn projects and a few festive ones too, we thought we’d let the gift do all the Christmas talking this month. Artist and designer Suzy Ultman has created these fun characters into eight mini Christmas crackers just for you. There’s pom-poms, glittery paper and candy cane thread all included in the gift kit so you can give your little characters an added Christmas sparkle. How adorable would these looking peeking out of the Christmas tree or decorating the table?

Your Sustainable Christmas mag

This Christmas we’re determined to be as sustainable as we can be. We’re swapping plastic decorations for natural ones and trading shop-bought presents for the handmade touch. If you want to join the eco-revolution with us then you need a copy of issue 110. It comes with its very own mini-mag that’s full of eco-trends, tips and projects to make this year your greenest one yet. Here’s all the projects you’ll get in your mini mag:

Meet Wendy Lau and Jo Want

Issue 110 also takes a tour of Wendy Lau’s mid-century home which is filled to the brim with plants and boho décor. Wendy and her husband have transformed their former 1970’s home into a Canadian dream that’ll make you want to pick up a paintbrush and head to the garden center ASAP. We also had a chat with the fab Jo Want about her sunshine-happy jewelry and illustrations which bring a smile to our faces every time we see them.
