Don't let the title of this book fool you: there is a lot more here than just dresses! Machiko Kayaki takes her stunningly simple vision to give us patterns that show off a beautiful fabric. The book includes 19 patterns for: dresses, one-pieces, blouses, skirts, jackets, pants, and vests. A full-size pattern sheet is included for Japanese sizes 9, 11, and 13.

Note that the book is written in Japanese, but patterns and schematics are included. Crafters who cannot read Japanese but who have some sewing experience are usually able to interpret the instructions without any trouble, and others can use the projects as inspiration for their own creations.
