Wedgwood can be made in either knee or midi length and a variety of woven fabrics, giving you the opportunity to really let your creativity take over. Make your skirt in a fun printed voile paired with a tank and cropped cardigan for lunch with friends. Dress up your skirt by sewing the midi length in a flowy rayon and pairing it with a button up shirt and some booties. This skirt will transition through the seasons and with such classic lines will be a wardrobe staple for years to come.

Prerequisites: Sewing 101 or equivalent experience, prior garment sewing experience is helpful

Bring to Class:

• sewing machine
• basic sewing kit (scissors, rotary cutter, seam ripper, tape measure, straight pins, fabric marking pen or pencil, and quilting ruler)
• Wedgewood Pattern (included in class fee)
• yardage of a light-weight fabric per pattern instructions for your size (chambray, linen, rayon challis, voile, cotton lawn, or double gauze are recommended), pre-washed and pressed
• coordinating machine sewing thread
• 9" zipper
• 3-4 buttons
• lightweight fusible interfacing

About the Instructor:

Kimberly Payne is the owner, designer, teacher and all around one woman show at Straight Stitch Designs.  She learned how to sew from her mom in high school and the desire to create hasn't stopped since.  Five years ago with two young kids at home, the need to have something outside raising children was just the push she needed to teach herself to design and draft sewing patterns.  Kimberly now has a growing sewing pattern business with both PDF and paper patterns carried all over the world.  She looks forward to sharing her knowledge of the indie sewing pattern world with you.

All classes at superbuzzy require prepayment and registration. In some cases, we are able to accept enrollments on the day of class. All classes begin and end on time; please plan accordingly to get to class on time so that everyone can get started together and right on time! 

Cancellations: We know... life happens! Cancellations received 5 days prior to the first meeting are eligible for a credit toward a future class. Cancellations received less than 5 days prior to the first meeting forfeit their registration fee. We recommend you find an awesome buddy to take over your seat! Classes are subject to change or cancellation due to low enrollment.
