Kelly Stevens' love of textiles began at a young age and became especially apparent while studying in Madagascar and Zaire during graduate school - she traded the shrunken heads of her students for some wonderful, graphic local fabrics from Malagasy and Zaïrois vendors at local markets. She continued to develop an appreciation for textiles when she studied Textile Science at CSU Fort Collins and curated the university's historic costume collection. Soon after, Kelly discovered and fell madly in love with Japanese textiles. With four suitcases and a wonderful trip to Japan, she started superbuzzy with a friend who shared her passion in 2006. In 2011, superbuzzy moved to a flagship storefront in Ventura CA, and the rest is history yet to be written.
