Gallery Opening: Nani Iro 2009
Opening shipments from Japan is like going to a museum… sometimes the contents make us laugh or smile, sometimes we marvel at the classic elegance and beauty, and sometimes we are simply taken aback by the artistry and sophistication of the designs. We recently received a shipment of the 2009 Nani Iro collection, and opening those boxes was truly breathtaking. And so, it seems appropriate to announce the arrival of this new collection as a gallery opening. Naomi Ito’s artistic vision is beautifully represented in this new collection with a vibrant color palette, magnificent florals, elegant abstract designs, and museum-worthy prints. Here is a sampling:
We’ve received all of the double gauze and 100% linen designs, with more of the collection on the way. Both of these categories are fantastic for garment sewing; the double gauze is also phenomenal for quilting and the 100% linen is so beautiful… we’ve heard folks like to stretch it over canvas and hang it on the wall! I’m thrilled to offer this superb and special new collection, and I hope you’ll let me know what you think. Enjoy!
